Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you plant your seed paper and bring a piece of nature into your home.

Instructions:

1. Choose Your Planting Location

• Indoors: You can start your seeds in a pot or a seed tray. Choose a location that gets plenty of sunlight, such as a windowsill or a sunlit corner.
• Outdoors: If you prefer to plant your seeds outside, select a sunny spot in your garden or yard. Ensure the soil is well-drained and free of weeds.

2. Prepare the Soil

• Indoors: Fill your pot or seed tray with a good quality potting mix. Ensure the soil is moist but not waterlogged.
• Outdoors: Loosen the soil in your garden bed to a depth of about 2 inches (5 cm). Remove any rocks, weeds, or debris to create a smooth surface.

3. Plant the Seed Paper

• Tear the seed paper into small pieces to increase the chances of the seeds germinating.
• Place the pieces of seed paper on top of the prepared soil. If you’re planting in a pot, leave a little space between each piece. If you’re planting in the garden, you can scatter the pieces more widely.

4. Cover the Seed Paper

• Lightly cover the seed paper with a thin layer of soil (about 1/8 inch or 3 mm). The seeds need sunlight to germinate, so don’t bury them too deep.

5. Water the Seeds

• Initial Watering: Gently water the soil until it is thoroughly moist. Be careful not to wash away the seed paper.
• Ongoing Care: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Check daily and water lightly as needed, especially if the topsoil feels dry.

6. Provide Sunlight

• Place your pot or seed tray in a location where it will receive at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day. If planting outdoors, ensure the garden bed gets plenty of sunlight.

7. Watch for Germination

• Depending on the type of wildflowers in the seed paper, you should start to see sprouts within 1-3 weeks. Be patient and keep the soil moist during this period.

8. Thin the Seedlings (If Necessary)

• Once the seedlings are about 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) tall, you may need to thin them out if they are too crowded. Remove the weaker seedlings to give the stronger ones more space to grow.

9. Transplanting (If Desired)

• If you started your seeds indoors and want to move them outside, wait until the seedlings are sturdy and the risk of frost has passed. Gradually acclimate the plants to the outdoor environment by placing them outside for a few hours each day before transplanting them into your garden.
